WPRA World Standings Update: Who’s Making It To Vegas?

With only a few weeks left in the 2024 WPRA season, the stakes are higher than ever as WPRA’s top cowgirls vy for a spot at the National Finals Rodeo and National Finals Breakaway Roping. Take a look at who is making waves and punching their tickets to Vegas.

Breakaway Roping

New World Leader Update! After a historic summer run and sizzling Northwest rodeo success, Josie Conner has taken over the lead in the breakaway roping race– besting world champion Jackie Crawford by nearly $6,000 thus far.

In a mix of past NFBR qualifiers and ferocious young guns, the competition to crack the 15 has never been more competitive. Currently on the bubble is a group of past NFBR qualifiers, and with less than $8000 separating 15-18th place, the race to Vegas is far from over.

Barrel Racing

At the top, Leslie Smalygo continues her winning ways to maintain her dominant lead over the elite field of barrel racers, with over $194,000 thus far this season.

Also standing out among the field of NFR veterans is fellow NFR qualifier Kassie Mowry, who is currently in third place in the standings after attending an astonishing 26 rodeos thus far.

However, all eyes will be on the bubble race at this point in the season. With less than $7,000 separating NFR qualifier Paige Jones from World Champion Jordan Briggs, the race to Vegas is as captivating as ever.
