Results from the Seventh Round of the National Finals Rodeo

The exhilarating Las Vegas’ National Finals Rodeo at the Thomas & Mack Center continued to showcase top-notch talent in its seventh round.

Bareback Riding

The star of the evening was Clayton Biglow, who scored an impressive 88.0 points astride Beutler & Son Rodeo’s South Point’s Happy Hour and pocketed $30,706 for his stellar performance. Kade Sonnier and Tim O’Connell tied in second place with 87 points, taking home $21,296 each. As for fourth place, it was won by Tanner Aus, with a score of 86.5 and a cash prize of $12,877.

Meanwhile, our top average leaders were Keenan Hayes and Jess Pope, both with 593 points on seven head. Clayton Biglow trails slightly behind with 588.5 points.

The world standings had Keenan Hayes leading the way with total earnings of $322,120, followed by Clayton Biglow and Rocker Shane Steiner making $269,892 and $216,187 respectively.

Steer Wrestling

In this round, the winners were Tyler Waguespack and Stan Branco, each clocking 3.8 seconds and earning a whopping $27,487. Dakota Eldridge and Don Payne came out on top in the average leaders, with a total of 32.3 seconds on seven head. Dalton Massey leads the world standings with $264,678 in earnings.

Team Roping

Derrick Begay and Colter Todd tied alongside Clay Smith and Paden Bray, and Clint Summers and Jake Long for first place. They all recorded a time of 4.0 seconds, resulting in an earnings of $24,433 each.

The world standings varied for headers and heelers, with Clint Summers earning $227,075 and Jake Long making $240,576, as the top headers and heelers respectively.

Saddle Bronc Riding

It was a match-draw between Ryder Wright on Calgary Stampede’s Exotic Warrior and Damian Brennan on Powder River Rodeo LLC’s Bet the Ranch; both scored 87 points and took home a tidy sum of $27,487 each.

Our world standings were led by Zeke Thurston who had accumulated $319,994, followed closely by Sage Newman with $319,667.

Tie-Down Roping

Haven Meged took home $30,706 on the seventh round, finishing in 6.4 seconds. In the world standings, Riley Mason Webb sat comfortably at the top with an earnings of $376,086.

Barrel Racing

Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi’s posted a swift 13.47 seconds, which earned her $30,706. Her superb performance propelled her to the lead in the world standings with total earnings of $403,389.

Bull Riding

A special shoutout to Ky John Hamilton who scored an impressive 88 points on Duane Kesler’s Alberta Prime Devil’s Advocate, earning a substantial $99,053, and also topped the world standings with earnings of $516,667.

All-Around

Stetson Dell Wright came out on top in the all-around category with earnings of $479,621 so far.

RAM Top Gun

In the RAM Top Gun category, Ky John Hamilton is leading the pack with $160,313 in earnings.
