NFR Contract Extended In Las Vegas Through 2035

Las Vegas will host the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) for the next 12 years under a landmark contract worth over $264 million through 2035, benefiting contestants and stock contractors. Las Vegas Events (LVE) and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) announced the deal in June 2024, which is the richest in rodeo history.

Starting in 2024, LVE will increase contestant and stock contractor compensation by $1.3 million as a signing bonus. For the 2024 NFR, prize money will total $16.2 million, with $12.5 million for contestants and $3.75 million for stock contractors. In 2025, this will rise to over $17.5 million, with annual increases of $1 million through 2035.

PRCA CEO Tom Glause praised the agreement, calling it a significant milestone that will benefit all PRCA members and support the sport’s growth. Bill McBeath, chairman of the LVE Board of Trustees, highlighted the nearly two years of collaboration with the PRCA to secure Las Vegas as the NFR’s home, emphasizing the city’s commitment to rodeo.

LVE President Tim Keener expressed gratitude for the dedication shown by key figures in securing the extension and looks forward to continuing the NFR tradition in Las Vegas.
