For professional cowgirls and cowboys, the first week of July is better known as ‘Cowboy Christmas’. With some of the largest paydays and greatest rodeos taking place nationwide, this short-timer period is pivotal to a season’s success. With many of the major rodeos already underway, take a look at how the Fourth of July run is shaping up at a few of the major PRCA Cowboy Christmas stops.

World’s Oldest Rodeo– Prescott, Arizona

The world’s oldest rodeo is currently taking place in one of Arizona’s most historic town. Since joining the PRCA in 1888, this rodeo has been a Fourth of July staple for fans and competitors alike. Concluding on July 7, there is still lots of action to catch up on at this Turquoise Circuit rodeo!

St. Paul Rodeo– St. Paul, Oregron

Nestled into the Pacific Northwest Pines lies one of PRCA’s most unique rodeos. Known for its trees inside the arena, this rodeo’s history and culture are as deep as the payday. As one of the most prosperous Cowoby Christmas rodeos, it’s one athletes are certainly hoping to be on the nice list for.

Cody Stampede– Cody, Wyoming

This historic, four-day, Mountain States circuit rodeo is already underway and will conclude in style on the Fourth of July. Paying out nearly $200,000, this rodeo is known for its prosperous opportunities, gorgeous mountain scenery and has remained a fan favorite for years.

Killdeer Mountain Roundup PRCA Rodeo— Killdeer, North Dakota

This legendary rodeo takes place in the heart of the plains and offers athletes the opportunity to compete for yet another major title over the Cowboy Christmas run. Joining the PRCA in 1924, this historic rodeo celebrates its centennial anniversary, making this year’s rodeo even more special.
